Three things to consider when building your brand

Building your brand is complex and takes time. Just think about the brands you follow, what makes them unique? What drives them? They just did not become popular overnight, correct? So what are some things you need to consider when building your brand?

Here are three things you need to know about building your brand.

  1. Your brand encompasses everything you do – as a company,  a business professional, and an individual.
  2. In the context of everything you do as a company,  a business professional, and an individual – how well do you do it?
  3. How much of a differentiator is it vs. the competition? Is it unique?

Yes, these may sound simple but can be complicated. If you can define and execute on a strategy that speaks to the above, you are on your way to building a strong brand.

  • So it seems that we should market both ourselves as well as the nonprofit organization. But shouldn’t we put the org above ourselves? We called our org inOne Music Ministries hoping that we go as a group, not as an individual. In this case, should we really market ourselves?
